Drawing Process

This short (1:15) video shows the process of creating a large shaped piece, beginning to end.

Technique

Here is a seven minute video about techniques I use. This covers light-fast colored pencils (that don’t fade), paper, etc.

Finishing

Left: Coating the edges with acrylic paste to protect from dents: Center: Painting the edge; Right: Varnishing with two coats.

The edges of these shaped pieces get a coating of acrylic paste which dries to a hard finish. This helps to protect against dents. Next, a coat of acrylic paint goes around the edge. Finally, two coats of acrylic varnish with UVLS (protection from UV rays) are applied.

Framing

This two-and-a-half minute video shows how I frame my work using archival materials.
